Divine Plumbline Course, 14 - 17 January, 2010
Testimony by Aaron Koh
Thank God for the Divine Plumbline workshop!
The Lord has led me to this workshop to reveal to me about the unknown areas of my life and now I understand why I was behaving like an orphan rather than a beloved child of God. Through the workshop, the Lord has revealed to me about the cause of my identity crisis which has led to undesirable personality profiles that hinder my spiritual growth and my relationship with Him. Dr. Bruce Thompson's anointed teaching has also helped me to tear down the unbelief and pride in my heart and to release forgiveness to people
who have hurt me. In summary, the workshop has helped me to tear down the skewed walls that hindered my spiritual growth and to rebuild my wall of salvation in accordance with the divine plumbline.
I believe the Lord is using this workshop to set His children free so that we can grow to in our Christ-likeness and to bring glory to Him!
Thank you for laboring so fervently for the Lord! Indeed, I can see the Christ in your life! Keep up with the excellent work and I know God is please.
God bless you and your ministries,
On Nov 30 morning 2009, I awoke to prepare to leave for my church camp. I saw my eyes were red. I went to see my family physician. He took my blood pressure as a routine check. He was shocked that it read 170/100 mmHg. Immediately, he prescribed an anti-hypertensive. I proceeded to Seremban for the church camp and faithfully took my medications. 2 days later in the morning, as I entered the hall ,I felt dizzy and collapsed. My pastor took my pulse and it was almost still. A church member who is a nurse immediately conducted CPR. I was resuscitated and revived. Subsequently, I returned home and consulted a cardiologist. The Lord is good...His mercy endureth forever. I'm in the of pink health again. Our Heavenly Father is a great Physician. This is the second time that He saved and healed me. In 1998 I was healed from Steven Johnson Syndrome after a brain tumour operation. Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

Breakthroughs
Desired Outcome of Divine
Plumbline Course 15 - 18 January, 2009
- Leisure Farm Resort, Johor
Bahru
Testimony by Merly Chee
I have learnt that through the influence of false prophets (parents, teachers, leaders, arts/media, etc) in my life, I experienced a love deficit early in my formative years. As a result, I began to build walls of rejection and rebellion which in turn gave rise to passive and aggressive personality traits and profiles. I reacted to life situations and relationships based on these personality traits. I have created for myself false plumblines contrary to God’s divine plumbline of truth and love for my life.
The course teaches us that Jesus Christ is the Chief Cornerstone, upon which we can reliably build our lives. We must let Jesus Christ become the source of our redemption and restoration by ‘crucifying’ on the cross our negative traits on a daily basis. When we co-operate with the Holy Spirit, truth will replace all the deception which we have previously been subjected to, and the truth will set us free and impact the way we live our lives.
I learnt a great deal from the sessions which comprised 40-45 minutes of teaching on video where concepts were defined by Scriptures and the sharing of real-life experiences. This was followed by a time of sharing from the participants. I benefited immensely from the sharing session. This was when I received healing of deep wounds of the past. I believe that the extent to which a person receives healing and deliverance is highly dependent on his/her willingness to be vulnerable. God will meet us at our point of vulnerability and minister to us with His healing grace and power. The openness of the participants surprised me and I truly benefited from that. At the end of the 4-day course, I felt that I was greatly blessed, highly favoured and deeply loved by God through the healing I received. I acknowledge too, that the healing process will be a continuous one.
Facilitation is done in small groups of 3 to 4. Hence, it is non-threatening and effective. I was particularly touched by our facilitator, Leonora van Tonder who fasted and prayed for the participants throughout the course. With such sacrificial love, it is no wonder that we experienced God’s power during the ministry time as He honoured us with His loving presence.
This course is highly recommended. Why? Just as visiting Israel is a return to the roots of our Christian Faith, attending the Divine Plumbline course brought me back to the root questions of my humanity i.e. who am I (Ontology), how do I know (Epistemology), where am I coming from and going to (Teleology) and what has value to me (Axiology). When I honestly dealt with these questions with the help of the Holy Spirit, I was on my way to receiving restoration, manifesting the fruit of the Spirit and living the abundant and victorious life Christ has promised us.

MISSION TRIP TO CAMBODIA
8-12 JUNE 2008
By Joie Molina
Here are some highlights and experiences that brought us to a deeper walk
and trust in God. God provided
comfortable accommodation, food,
transport and warm welcome from
the locals. We also witnessed
the Lord’s daily guidance
through revelations from His
Word, dreams & visions that
prepared us for every situation.
Dr Prima had the
opportunity not only to meet
their physical needs (ailments &
sickness) but also to pray for
each one of them.
On the second day of our visit,
during the early morning prayer,
God revealed to us that He is going
to do a new thing that day. We went
out with anticipation and prepared hearts.
Outside the gate of the venue where
we provided medical aid, an accident
occurred and the victim was brought in
pale and motionless. Dr Prima led the
team to administer treatment to the woman.
Her wounds were cleaned and gradually she
was able to move and talk to her relatives
over the phone who then came and brought
her home after she regained consciousness
and was given medicines. One life was saved!
And God is the great healer!
On the final day we were able to go
around the city and see the beauty
of the place from God’s perspective.
The song “ He is exalted, the King is
exalted on high, and I will praise Him”
came to our minds. We declared the Lord
Jesus be exalted over Cambodia. We
left Cambodia with hearts full of
thanksgiving to God for the VICTORY
and success of our 5 days trip. We
may be a drop of water in the bucket,
nevertheless God was pleased to use
us as instruments of blessing in the
lives of people we ministered to.
Being where God wants us to be and
doing His will at this particular
time in our life’s journey brought
us much joy.
These pictures are evidence of God’s faithfulness and blessing to us. We
were touched by the warm hearts
of the children of
Cambodia. They are smart kids that
responded so readily to our
love. Despite the language
barrier, we were able to flow
with our interpreters in
communicating with the patients
and children. They became our
new found friends as well. Some
of them grew up together with
their siblings in the orphanage.
What touched our hearts is the
HOPE that they have, trusting
God to bring them to a brighter
future despite their present
situation. With God nothing is
impossible!

A Grand Finale to a Tokyo
Holiday
Little did we expect that we
would have such an unforgettable
end to our happy family holiday
in Tokyo. We had just spent the
last 7 days ( 14 - 21 April 2007
) in Tokyo, bonding as a family,
away most of the time from the
computer, hand-phones and
Singapore contacts and friends.
What jolted us that late
Saturday afternoon at
approximately one and half hours
before our scheduled return
flight to Singapore , was the
realization that we were
directed to a train which led us
to the countryside of Tokyo and
not the Narita airport!
On alighting from the train, we
desperately searched for help!
Foremost on our minds was this
question: “How do we get out of
this place and reach the airport
on time for the plane and yet go
through the rigorous process of
check-in?” I took a chance and
asked a stranger in the middle
of an almost deserted train
terminal, and shared with him
our dilemma. Surprisingly, he
could understand us and spoke in
halting English. He said he
would help us get back to the
train station so that we could
catch the right train to the
airport.
What ensued was the most amazing
ride of my life. The stranger
drove at break-neck speed along
the winding roads of the
countryside lined by rice
fields. We had no time to pause
and ponder or appreciate the
beauty of the place.
We missed the train to the
airport! However, God was good.
There was an alternative train
and it was leaving in just 5
minutes. I jumped over the vends
in order to get onto the train.
The station master looked at me
flabbergasted, gesturing that I
did the wrong thing. I replied
that I had the tickets and could
not afford losing time by
placing the tickets through the
vending machine. The train was
already moving off. He shrugged
his shoulders in exasperation
and let us through.
We thank God for providing an
angel (who spoke Japanese) to
help us catch our plane back to
Singapore. We thank God for His
rich provision. He never fails
us!

You may not know me nor my Aunt
Lucy and Uncle Clem Lee Sui, yet you
do know someone in your own family
or have a close friend whom you have
been praying for years to accept
Jesus Christ as their personal Lord
and Saviour. May this testimony
encourage you to persevere and give
you hope.
My family is very special (yes, so
too is yours!). Mine is really
blessed because we are a large
family spread all over the world
(Australia, Canada, South Africa,
Hong Kong and USA. And I’m currently
here in Singapore! Love binds us
together across the generations and
technology narrows the miles between
us and helps us keep in touch. My
mother is the eldest of nine
children and my dad has six other
siblings. Except for one sister
(mother’s side) and one brother (on
dad’s side, whom I have never met
due to their being deceased as
children), all are married and have
children and some have
grandchildren. I love them all –
aunts, uncles and cousins. My desire
is that they each have Jesus Christ
in their lives.
In such a large family, life is
never boring. We travel and visit
one another and we email all the
everyday events, even including the
details of the menu dishes!
We heard about Aunt Lucy being
diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
about two years ago and have been
with her through her trials and
treatments. Continual prayers… and
Our God is merciful and kind to us,
giving us precious time. Aunty Lucy
and Uncle Clem came to visit me and
at the cell-group meeting on
Thursday 19 April 2007. They took
that critical step of faith to say
the prayer of salvation. They are
“good” people, but God made them
Righteous. Thank you my dear Lord
God and Saviour! I was so thrilled
and my joy overflowed. How wonderful
that they both confess You and
receive You into their lives at the
same time! Thank you for the peace
and assurance of their place in
Heaven. I will sing of how GOOD You
Are! Amen.
Jesus came to bring life and life
abundantly. It is His heartbeat
desire for everyone to come to know
Him. To know God is eternal life.
May you also trust your family to
Him for their salvation and do not
cease lovingly praying for them.

I was holidaying with my
wife in Switzerland when
suddenly I had severe vertigo.
Everything was spinning. Some
persons brought me back to my
hotel and the hotel doctor
examined me and said that it was
an inner ear problem and give me
an injection.
The next day we were to fly
home. But I could not stand
because I had lost my balance.
By God's grace I managed to get
back to Singapore. By the time I
consulted my Neurologist, 3 days
have passed since I suffered the
vertigo. The neurologist was
worried. He sent me for a MRI
scan which confirmed his
suspicion that I had a stroke
affecting my cerebellum. The
danger was that in the first
four days the brain could swell
and choke my heart and breathing
centres. I was immediately
admitted to the intensive care
unit. The Lord had preserved me!
I was in hospital for eight
days. I had one month of
intensive physiotherapy as I had
to learnt to walk just like a
baby do.
Praise the Lord! Today I am back
at work. I am about 95% of my
old self, looking after the
Lord's workers as a doctor and
serving as an Elder in the
church. It is my joy to share
this testimony to glorify God
and encourage His children.
Dr Ang Beng Chong
Thursday morning.
The run-of- the- mill
clinic in a medical
practice. A few patients
streamed into the room.
No fanfare. Just people
needing medical care. An
ordinary day very much
like yours.
She looked tensed. Spoke
perfect English. “Are
you facing some stresses
in your life?” I asked.
Tears streamed down her
cheeks. “How could God
permit more than one
wife for a man?” she
retorted. She was unable
to confide in anyone.
All she felt was a deep
pain penetrating her
soul.
I listened. I shared her
sorrow and pain. I could
have avoided talking
about Jesus. Try
self-talk, positive
thinking or
visualization for inner
healing- only to miss
the one opportunity of a
life time to share with
her the power of the
cross and Him crucified.
What is God doing in her
life? He is involved in
her sufferings and he
directed her to a
clinic, perhaps one of
many paths that will
lead her to freedom in
Christ. How He loved
her! Should I turned my
back, I will miss even
more.
Some argue that it
unethical to take
advantage of a
‘vulnerable’ patient
seeking medical help.
Witholding spiritual aid
in the total care of the
whole person is unjust.
She was alert and in
full control of her
feelings. No coercion.
Only a heart-to- heart
communion and release of
pent-up frustrations
that contributed to her
physical pain. To deny
her news of eternal hope
is hardly beneficiant.
How about the advice
that we should respect
another’s religion and
mind our own business?
We profess His goodness
and sing of his love and
deliverance. Shouldn’t
let it stop in church.
Spread it to others
–it’s a sure sign of
love. We cannot give
what we don’t possess.
Is our Christianity
composed of Sunday
sermon, mid-week Bible
study, going for
missions and leading
decent lives? Nothing
more than a personally
fulfilling faith. Like
Simon the Pharisee, we
invite Jesus into our
homes and debate on the
merits of sharing Christ
with patients. In
contrast, the sinful
woman, who received much
forgiveness, publicly
and extravagantly poured
out her affection for
the Lord. She received
full commendation from
Him ( Luke 7: 36-50 ).
By our living, we are
more like Simon than the
woman.
Some argue that we don’t
talk about religion
unless the person asks
about heaven and hell.
They seldom do. Jesus
instructed his disciples
to ‘ heal the sick who
are there and tell them
‘The kingdom of God is
near you.’ Luke 9:9.
Care givers who rely
solely on their good
behaviour as testimony
is accepting the enemy’s
lie. The most perfect
Son demonstrated love by
word and deed. How could
we, imperfect children
of God, do otherwise?
Remember those who
indulge in ‘insensitive
gospel talk’. Someone
may complain. An
unspoken but underlying
fear grips us, causing
spiritual paralysis.
Genuine care that
springs from a heart of
love is fragrant and a
balm to the sick. We
would rather fear God
than man.
One colleague expressed
that he did not know how
to share Christ with
others. Ever felt
tongue-tied when it
comes to God? Mention
anything but
hmm…..Jesus? We can be
equipped to give
spiritual care to
patients. We know, don’t
we, that His disciples
incarnate his teachings.
Spiritual ministry is
integral to medical
care. It’s an
opportunity, not a task
best left to pastors.
Not as irrelevant or an
extra burden on a
stressed-out medical
practice. Never thought
of it as part of our job
description? Aren’t we a
royal priesthood, called
to declare the praises
of our Lord? 1 Pet
2:9-10. But for so many,
we want the royal
privileges, not the
responsibilities.
What about this patient?
Oh, she now reads the
Bible. Jesus could have
used the spectacular to
get her attention. A
dream, a vision. But no.
He sent her to a doctor.
God comes to your
clinic, whispers in your
ears. It’s up to us to
listen to Him.

I’m Sandra Monteiro, a nurse
in the Eye clinic. I was
diagnosed with Hashimoto
thyroiditis since 1998 but has
been asymptomatic. Early this
year I accidentally discovered a
lump in my neck. I was advised
to seek treatment by many
friends and relatives. I was
referred to an ENT specialist
who diagnosed probable cancerous
growth in the lump!
I sought a second opinion from a
private specialist whose medical
assessment was similar to the
first. The doctor recommended
removal of the lump and a
partial or total thyroidectomy..
Surrounded by my group
fellowship’s intercession, I
went for an operation within 2
weeks. Praise the Lord! A hemi-thyroidectomy
was performed and the biopsy was
negative for cancer. I believe
that God has healed me
completely and I also want to
thank God for blessing me with
three healthy and lovely
children.

Answered prayers
My name is Brenda Lim and I’m an
Operation Manager. Year 2005 has
been one of victory. I saw
salvations in my household,
opportunities
for evangelism and promotion at
work.
My sister-in-law's 24yr old sister
was suffering from terminal cancer
but she did not know the Lord.
Urgent appeals for prayers and
hospital visitations led to her
salvation. In addition, my uncle was
saved during his hospitalization in
TTSH. I’m grateful to the support
from my fellowship friends who
visited and prayed with them.They
stood in the gap and I was
encouraged by their salvations. I
then took a step of faith to pray
for my aunty’s eye condition which
was suspected to be cancerous. It
turned out finally to be
non-cancerous.
Another surprise for me was the
rapid sale of my old flat which
remained unsold for the past 6
months. A simple prayer with my
fellowship group for this matter was
answered within 2 weeks! On top of
this, I did not have to pay
commission to my house agent. God
prospered me!

Miraculous Healings
I’m Pamela Lee, an Eye Donation
Counsellor in the Department of
Ophthalmology. My church, Lighthouse
Evangelism conducted a healing rally
in Manila in November 2005. I saw a
lady born deaf and mute and in her
mid-20s, hear and speak for the
first time! Her voice was still
shivering from the thrill of a
miraclous healing. Into the
microphone, she called out ‘Papa’
and ‘Mama’. The testimony was
wonderful and tears flowed
uncontrollably from her eyes. By the
power of the living God, many were
healed, just like in the book of
Acts.
Personally I was healed recently
from a long history of constipation.
I suffered from bleeding hemorrhoids
for a few months. Medication gave no
relief and was afraid to go for
colonoscopy. After much
procrastination, I sought prayer
support from my fellowship group.
Their faith often edifies me and God
never fails to touch my life. The
colonoscopy was normal and I have
been well since.

I was diagnosed with the
nose cancer (4th stage) on
21st December
2004. I was very
apprehensive. I was 47 years
old. I was married and had
two teenage sons, age 13 and
18. I wasn't surprise about
getting cancer as it was
common. Naturally, I had
hoped that I will
not be a victim.
Before the diagnosis , I
went to see a general
practitioner concerning the
a problem in my right eye. I
was not aware then that I
had a tumour pressing on the
nerve supplying the eye.
Three days later, a church
friend enquired about my
medical problems. I informed
her that I did not seem to
improve after a course of
antibiotics. She advised me
to immediately seek help
from a specialist and on
15th December 2004 she
accompanied me to the
Accident and Emergency
Department for further
assessment. I was admitted
and had a head scan and XRay
of my lungs. 2 of my church
pastors came and prayed with
me. Their presence and
prayer lifted me up.It was
akin to receiving a booster
jab into my faith in God.
I ‘ve been a Christian for
many years and have tasted
God’s manifold blessings and
miracles. I’ve experienced
financial provision,
physical healing, healing of
relationships, and
transformation of my life.
Through all these, I ve
developed confidence and
trust in God. God promised
in his Word that he will be
with me wherever I go and in
whatever situation I may
encounter. He promised that
he will never leave me nor
forsake me. I believe with
all my heart that God is
caring and loving. I'm not
fearful though the doctor
said that my prognosis is
not as good as patients with
first and second stage of
cancer.
Scripture in Philippines
4:6-7 says "Be anxious for
nothing, but in everything
by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known to
God; and the peace of God,
which surpasses all human
understanding, will guard
your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus." My
family and I committed the
situation and our concerns
to God.
From January to May 2005, I
went through thirteen
chemotherapies and
seven-weeks of radiotherapy.
Due to the effects of the
drugs, my hair fell off and
I had to wear a wig.
Undergoing radiotherapy was
the worst experience in my
life. On the 4th week of
the radiotherapy, I suffered
from the side-effects
horribly. My throat and ears
were so painful; I couldn't
eat, drink or speak.. I
remembered scribbling a note
(I had lost my voice) to the
doctor, saying "even if you
give me all the money in the
world, I won't want to go
through this again." Also,
I could not sleep well due
to the dryness and thick
saliva in my mouth and
throat. Eventually, I was
put on tube feeding. My diet
consisted of milk and
pain-killers for five weeks.
My weight fell from 49kg to
43kg. I completed treatment
in May and I took two months
to recuperate. Amazingly my
energy returned rapidly.
Repeat MRI in June and
November showed that the
tumor has disappeared.
Praise the Lord!
I thank God for my family's
support. My husband was
with me most of the time and
my sons helped out in the
household chores. During
the tough times, God showed
me that there were many
people who loved and cared
for me - my mum, brothers
and their families, my
in-laws, relatives and old
friends all rallied around
me. God demonstrated His
love for me through church
friends and pastors who
constantly prayed for me. A
church friend accompanied me
to almost every chemotherapy
session. When I was so weak,
they cooked for my family,
some took turns to send me
to the hospital for
treatment. Their care
really warm my heart. The
Bible verse in 1 John 4:21
says, "And Jesus has given
us this command: Whoever
loves God must also love his
brother." My
church has been teaching us
about covenantal
relationship (relating to
the verse 1 John 4:21) and
that's what I have been
experiencing during my tough
time.
I'm so blessed!

On 18th May 2002, around
midnight, as I was lying in bed, I
felt strangely confused. My wife
noticed my restlessness and
concluded that I was having a
stroke. My left arm and leg could
not move.
After a series of tests at Mount
Elizabeth Hospital, it was confirmed
that I had suffered a stroke. In
medical language, I had a complete
occlusion of my right internal
carotid artery which supplies blood
to the right side of the brain. This
complete blockage paralysed the left
side of my body. In addition, my
heart was beating irregularly.
Whilst in hospital my left limb
gradually recovered and I was
discharged on the 23 May 2002. A
week later I attended a healing
service at Lighthouse Evangelism
Church. Pastor Ronny invited those
who were ill to place their hands on
the affected part of their body.
By faith I placed my hand on the
right side of my neck and after his
prayer, I felt a sudden gush of
blood flowing up my neck. I knew
instantly that God has healed me!
On follow-up with my neurologist, a
repeat ultrasound scan on my neck
was performed. I was amazed to learn
that the blood flow was back to
normal and blood vessel was totally
clear of obstruction.
On reviewing the scans, my
neurologist commented that it was
impossible for this to happen! So he
asked for a repeat scan. This
confirmed the healing. Still
skeptical, he requested for the
latest high-tech scan of the neck,
namely a MRI angiogram. It showed
beyond a shadow of doubt that my
arteries were totally unblocked.God
had healed me!
I have since returned to work. In
addition, I assisted in the Tsunami
relief work in Aceh in 2005.
I never expected that I could be a
stroke patient as I have always
considered myself healthy. But that
fact remained I did suffer a stroke.
Neither did I expect God would
miraculously heal me. But He did.
Hallelujah! Praise His Name!
